Our Compassionate, Friendly Staff

Veterinary technician Laura Salinas joined the Harden Ranch Veterinary Hospital staff in 2004. Hailing from Anderson, Laura worked with large breed animals as a member of 4-H and FFA from 1990 to 1995. She loves working with animals and enjoys the friendly atmosphere at the hospital.
Outside of work, Laura can be found making crafts with her daughter, baking, traveling, and spending time with her family, friends and her two Boxers, Jozie Wales and Bull Doser.

A Registered Veterinary Technician at Harden Ranch Veterinary Hospital since July 2006, Beverly Signorelli grew up in the Monterey Bay area and earned an Associate’s degree in Animal Science from Hartnell Community College. Beverly began working in the animal care field in 1998 and has held positions at a number of veterinary hospitals.
“I like being able to work at an animal hospital that has access to the best technological advances available, doctors who are still eager to learn, and a warm and caring staff,” she says.
During her leisure time, Beverly enjoys going for walks on the beach, bicycling, reading, hiking, and de-stressing by playing video games with her family. Her animal companions include a Mastiff/Akita mix named Kira, Fischer’s Lovebird named Flicker, Congo African Grey Parrot named Koi, Peach Faced Lovebird named Peachy, a snake, toad, and a number of tropical fish.

A registered veterinary technician and kennel attendant at Harden Ranch Veterinary Hospital since 2006, Anna Smith is a native of Salinas. Anna attended Hartnell Community College and received her Associate's Degree in Animal Health Technology in 2007. Anna enjoys working with the caring staff and is proud of the high-quality care provided at the hospital. Outside work, Anna has a variety of hobbies, from drawing and playing tenor and soprano sax to making jewelry and playing computer games. She enjoys the companion ship of her dog, Watch, and her cat, Mithril.
Samantha Scheel is a Veterinary Nurse who came to Harden Ranch Veterinary Hospital in September of 2005. “The employees and clientele here are wonderful,” she says when asked what she enjoys most about her work. “All of my coworkers are friends and our willingness to help one another and the animals make my job more enjoyable.”
At home, she has two cats named Bandit and Jewel, Pitbull named Crash, and a Corgi mix named Precious. Samantha’s interests include hiking, bike riding, going to the beach, and she considers herself to be quite the movie connoisseur.

Rebecca Franco is a Kennel Attendant who has been a member of the Harden Ranch Veterinary Hospital staff since February of 2011, but began her career in the companion animal care field in 2003.
“I enjoy learning new things with hands-on experience and my coworkers are more than willing to show me aspects of working at a veterinary hospital beyond my kennel duties,” she says. “While I love being able to provide the best care possible for our kennel guests, I am looking forward to becoming a certified veterinary assistant in the near future.”
Rebecca’s animal family includes a polydactyl Manx cat named Rocky Bobcat, a German Shepherd named Addie and a Rottweiler named Papa Bear. Her interests include camping, fishing, being a mom, cooking, gardening, spending time with her family, and she is a devoted San Jose Sharks fan as well as lover of all sports.

Elisa Wong-Lobell has been part of the Harden Ranch Veterinary Hospital staff since 1993. Elisa has worked in the animal care field for more than 25 years and likes working with the caring veterinarians and staff at the hospital. Elisa has a number of creative hobbies, including jewelry making, needlepoint, painting, gardening and knitting. She shares her home with 12 cats, two koi, three goldfish and a cockatiel.

Rafael Bernal has been the Practice Manager at Harden Ranch Veterinary Hospital since January of 2011. Asked what he enjoys most about his work, Rafael says, “I find the cutting-edge technology this hospital uses to be exciting. I also greatly appreciate that the people I work with here are like a family and each and every one of us loves animals.”
When not working, Rafael enjoys spending time with his family, making pottery, glass blowing, weight lifting, skiing, hiking, gardening and cooking.

Client services representative Joanie Cooley joined the Harden Ranch Veterinary Hospital staff in 2000. Originally from Massachusetts, Joanie attended St. Joseph's College, where she majored in Liberal Arts. At home, Joanie enjoys gardening, walking, hiking and swimming. In the summer, she can usually be found cheering for the Red Sox. Joanie's four-legged companions include two Labradors, Buddy and Holly, and three cats. She also provides food for a number of stray cats in the neighborhood.

Patricia Madrigal works as both a client services representative and veterinary assistant at Harden Ranch Veterinary Hospital. A native of Salinas, Patricia has worked in the animal care field since 1997 and has been part of the Harden Ranch staff since 2002. She enjoys working with clients and their pets and is proud to be part of the caring hospital staff.
Outside of work, Patricia enjoys the time she gets to spend with her daughter and husband, cooking traditional Mexican dishes, hosting barbeques and scrapbooking with her sister. Patricia shares her home with Canela and Canelo, a pair of Labradors; Carlota, a Boxer, and two cats, Nala and Pinky. Patricia and her dogs can usually be found outside hanging out in the garden.

Amanda Kemper has been a client services representative at Harden Ranch Veterinary Hospital since 2007. A native of Salinas, Amanda has worked in the animal care field since 2000 and loves working with the friendly staff as well as clients and their pets. Amanda attended Hartnell College, majoring in Psychology, and she is a tech geek who can usually be found trying out the latest gadgets and rebuilding electronics. She also enjoys photography, reading, hiking, listening to music and hanging out with her cat, Sir Digby Chicken Caesar.
