Puppy Training Classes
As the owner of a puppy, you know that puppies are very susceptible to canine diseases up until about 4 months of age, and you’re doing your best to protect your little friend and keep him or her healthy.
What isn’t so widely known, is that there is about a 10 week period from 6 to 16 weeks of age, when puppies are particularly open and responsive to learning, training, and especially socialization.
Animal behaviorists are finding this ‘magic window’ from 6 to 16 weeks of age can set the tone for the rest of your puppy’s life. Learning to play with and get along with others… basic obedience… manners… and more… all help your puppy become more confident and happier — and help you be a more confident and happier owner, too!
At Harden Ranch Veterinary Hospital, we’ve established a unique opportunity for your puppy to take advantage of the ‘magic window’, and still be safe and protected from exposure to canine disease during this critical period.
Puppy Party Classes
We’ve arranged for experienced veterinarian and canine behavior advisor, Dr. Janet Brennan, to hold her very popular Puppy Party Classes at the Harden Ranch Veterinary Hospital complex. Your puppy will be part of a very small class of 6-8 other ‘youngsters’, in a safe and supportive environment for both pup and owner.
Basic Obedience: Sit, down, stay, come, leash skills.
Manners: Jumping, don’t touch, drop it, calm down.
Social Skills: Proper playing skills on a leash, greeting other puppies.
Distraction Skills: Puppy learns to focus and work in a group environment.
Things Puppies Do: Chewing, nipping, house soiling, and how to change this behavior positively.
